Cory Popp is a Kentucky raised, Chicago reared, LA based, but well traveled, photographer, cinematographer and documentarian. He has worked in over 44 countries covering everything from the war in Ukraine to coffee farmers in Guatemala to the Westminster dog show to the aftermath of the Syrian Civil War.
Ukraine
In July 2022 I visited several parts of Ukraine affected by the Russian invasion to cover what was happening. Between Zaporojie, Mykolaiv and Kramatorsk I witnessed a lot of destruction, which is documented here.

Armenia
Throughout 2023 I visited various parts of the Armenian border and the villages that sit on it to speak with residents about their concerns of losing their land and homes to Azerbaijan. And being displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Al-Hawl, syria
The refugee camp in Al Hol, Syria is one of the worst humanitarian crises this world has ever seen. Following the collapse of the ISIS Caliphate the camp saw a massive influx of people the state had no way of dealing with. This was what it looked like in September 2019.
